The Forbidden Ferrara - Sarah Morgan

The Forbidden Ferrara was the American version of the Hatfield's and McCoy's feud.  In Once a Ferrara Wife we met Cristiano's younger brother Santo who was fiercely protective of his older brother.  His older brother's marriage had survived and Santo was now at the helm of the family business allowing Cristiano more time with his wife and children.  Now he had an idea to expand a sports hotel on the west coast of Sicily with only one problem.  He would need to get the permission of a family who blamed him for a family member's death, the  Baracchi's.  The head of the family hated him and so did Fia Baracchi.  Again, Sarah Morgan has outdone herself with this reunion and secret baby romance.  More conflict than one's heart can stand, I promise!

I had to smile when Santo and Fia saw each other again.  Her family owned the land next door to one of the Ferrara's beach hotel.  In fact they had a restaurant and Fia was the chef who was literally serving food to Ferrara's guests.  But was more surprising is the secret Fia had........a son, Santo Ferrara's son and she had been determined to keep it a secret.  She was also concerned due to her grandfather's ill health, he would suffer a heart attack or stroke when he saw Santo.  It had been three years since she had seen Santo and she felt defenseless and extremely vulnerable upon seeing him.  He mustn’t find out about Luca, the child a result of one night of passion.  For three generations the Ferrara's and the Baracchi's had bee feuding and it didn't help that the night she learned her brother had been killed, she turned to Santo and passion.

How would Fia tell her grandfather Santo was here and that he was the father of her son?  Or did her Nonno already know; I figured yes was the answer because he told Fia he expected Santo to do right by her.  As for Santo, coming from such an amazing and loving family, unlike the Baracchi's, he was devastated he had missed three years of his sons life.  However, there was only one solution for Santo and that was to merge both families and marry Fia.  Based on their past history, I wondered how she would survive it and how her grandfather would react?  Fia and Santo's lives had been so different.  Her mother had walked away, her father, well let's just say he had problems and then their had been the death of her brother.  The Ferrara's family was warm and loving and they had made several attempts on her brother's death to end the feud.

Marriage, how would that help anything because they didn't love each other.  The only thing in common was the love of their child.  However, marriage had somewhat smoothed over the feud.  There was still the passion and sparks between them. so I actually became hopeful they would get their HEA.  Fia was used to controlling her emotions, she relied on it but I had a sneaking feeling the sexy Santo would change everything in her life and the brilliant Sarah Morgan was so very creative with the ending, I was so emotional that I cried and cried not wanting The Forbidden Ferrara to end.  Hopefully this talented author will write their sister's story or maybe some of the Ferrara's cousins because their family was so warm and loving.

I’m thrilled that my next release, The Forbidden Ferrara, is an RT magazine Top Pick for June (4..5* yay!!) "Morgan is a magician with words and she thrillingly transports readers to picturesque Sicily, where she spins a modern day fairy tale of grudges, feuds and forbidden passion. And her love scenes should come with the warning: 'Reading may cause hot flashes’.'’ It's true - I did get a little carried away with this one...... The Forbidden Ferrara is out in the US and the UK at the end of this month and will be available for Kindle and Nook from 1st June. I’ve already talked about the hero, Santo, and this month I’m revealing more about the heroine, Fia. She’s a talented chef, so to imagine her sweating away in the kitchen of her acclaimed restaurant The Beach Shack and put myself in the mood, I cooked some of her recipes. The upside was that I was inspired. The downside? I was starving for my whole working day! I loved Fia from the moment I started writing her. She grew up in a seriously dysfunctional family and because of that she is determined to create something different for her young son. Her inspiration for her perfect family? The close knit Ferraras, whose love for each other she observed with envy from the emotional tumble of her own less than perfect life.  S. Morgan (from her website)

Back of the Book

A Ferrara should never share a bed with a Baracchi—however high the stakes!

Dark-hearted Santo Ferrara has always remembered how long-legged, hot-tempered Fia Baracchi felt in his arms—much to his frustration. Then a million-dollar business deal throws them together, and keeping his distance is no longer an option.

But Fia is living a lie. If it's ever discovered that her precious little son is Santino's heir, she'll be disowned—their families' feud is legendary! But her real fear? That she can't forget the scorching memories of her one night with the enemy—and that she still craves more.…

The Devil and Miss Jones - Kate Walker (Return of the Rebels)

He was known at Diablo (the Devil) and that was putting it mildly as he literally came to the rescue of Martha Jones on what should have been her wedding night.  Instead of riding in on a horse, he scooped her up in full wedding dress and tiara and put her on his motorcycle.

Carlos Ortega didn't know who he was anymore.  Everything he believed himself to be had been taken away from him.  Thanks to his lying mother, his life had been fiction.  Everything had been a lie until his grandfather told him the truth.

Martha's life had been turned on its head.  She had always played it safe, been sensible and look where that got her.  And then just moments before her wedding was to take place, she walked into her chief bridemaids room and what she saw floored her and she ran away from the hall and her soon to be groom.  All she could think about on the rainy deserted road was she needed to trust this stranger with a slight accent and let him rescue her; get shelter from the storm.  It seemed to Carlos that they were two of a kind because they had both turned backs and had left everything behind.

Smiling, I personally thought, what an adventure.  Meeting a handsome stranger and being whisked away and what would happen?  The truth was he told her his name but she didn't tell him hers because she had won a ton of money and it had been published in England's newspapers.  However, when she put her hand in his, she felt something warm and primitive.  I just knew in the end, she would end up going anywhere with him and there would be trouble, oh yes, trouble.  Especially when she planted a thank you kiss on his lips and everything exploded between them.

A new start for Martha, with her mother gone, more money than she knew what to do with, hopefully she would get a fresh start and a new life.  She was going into the future putting herself first, taking a chance and she was through playing it safe.  As the incredible Kate Walker told of their passion, it was breath taking, sizzling.  However, Carlos made sure she understood there would be no future for them, only this night full with lovemaking with the Argentinian. Well, this beautiful virgin certainly had a night to remember with the devil himself!

Four months later, Martha was in Argentina talking care of Javier Ortega who was  confined to a wheelchair.  Thoughtfully, I wondered why and then the light bulb went on........she was pregnant and had come in search of Carlos to tell him their one night of passion had created a new life, one he wouldn't be keen on when he found out he was going to be a father.  The very fact that she realized when she saw his passport in their room that his last name wasn't Diablo it was Ortega.  Talk about a mess.

Thanks to the extremely talented Kate Walker who I've been reading for over ten years, she has woven a beautiful and impressive tale with such a lovely ending.  I was absolutely enchanted by Martha and Carlos!  Their love story with its happy ending is definitely one you won't want to miss!

Author Kate Walker talks about The Devil and Miss Jones at (I(Heart)Present and the back story!

A Night of Living Dangerously - Jennie Lucas

A Night of Living Dangerously, written by one of my favorite authors, Jennie Lucas was an incredible "Cinderella" story and one where dreams could be realized.  It's beautifully written and actually begins with some sadness when Lilley walked in on her boyfriend and her friend betraying her.  To make things worse, due to dyslexia which had been affecting her work, plus being upset by the betrayal, she decided to work late over the weekend so she didn't have to return home.  However, she was discovered by the sexy Alessandro Cactani, her boss and he believed she was up to no good.  When he learned about what had happened earlier in the day, he invited Lilley to his annual charity ball where she would be seen on his arm by everybody who was anybody including her boyfriend who worked at his company.

Alessandro watched her blossom into a beauty thanks to his purchasing a ball gown for her and her hair and makeup were perfect perfect.  He had called her his "little mouse" and now she turned into a beautiful woman.  He would make this night special for her, but give her only one night!  He had noticed her sweetness, her tartness, her innocent yes, her lush curves and he wanted her.  She actually touched him to his "soul" and was surprised by his thoughts.  The only things Alessandro didn't know were the secrets Lilley was hiding about her father and her cousin, his rivals.

A Night of Living Dangerously was also about dreams, dreams which didn't come true for Lilley, dreams of being a jewelry designer, starting up her own business and then not living that dream.  Do you have dreams of your own?  Goals?  I suggest after reading this review you stop over to I(Heart)Presents.com and read Jennie's post about dreams.  It made me wonder what affect this sexy Italian playboy would Lilley's life.  This was such a wonderfully written romance, very intense and extremely complicated.  However, while reading the early chapters, learning about Lilley's dreams which were never fulfilled and how her dyslexia had affected her made my heart squeeze.  And to my amazement, on the night of the charity ball, Lilley became bold and daring with Alessandro, she took a chance but would her heart get broken?

One night only, turned into a weekend and Alessandro was determined to not feel guilty.  They made love in every room in his villa and also out in the gardens.  He was baffled because she actually liked him and not his money.  How would this weekend of love making affect the rest of her life?  She was laid off from her job, pregnant, keeping secrets from her lover and leaving to accept a job in New York.  What a roller coaster relationship and romance that will have one sitting there wondering, how this all will end.  Because it all was very complicated.  However, it had an amazing HEA, it will certainly give one hope of a fairy tale ending

Sheikh Without a Heart - Sandra Marton

Can you even imagine with a "stuffed shirt" royal Sheikh meets the mother of his brother's son and she's dressed like some "trashy" cocktail waitress?  On top of that, he sees where she's living with his nephew and he can't believe his eyes?

Sheikh Karim al Safir, the Prince of Alcantar took his position as a royal seriously.  Unlike his brother who was now dead, who had been fun loving and reckless with his life.  Now he was faced with the task of retrieving his nephew and taking him home to Alcantar.

I love a excellent "desert" romance and this one between and Rachel was as hot as the desert sun.  Sparks arched between them as only the fabulous Sandra Marton can pen.  I loved Sheikh Without a Heart, so much so, I stayed literally up all night reading this incredible love story, one I will long remember.

The only way to describe Rachel is that she was not only lovely, she was passionate about Ethan who was actually her nephew, the one whose parents had been her sister and his brother.  Now his brother was gone and because the baby was illegitimate, it would bring a scandal to his kingdom and would also upset his father.  Rachel had been actually raising the baby, she adored him, was protective and would agree to anything in order to keep him safe.  Actually, she had been the only mother this child had known.

There was no denying the attraction between them.  She caused Karim to feel like a school boy.  As for Rachel, she could take her eyes off of him, even though she gave him "grief" with her smart mouth.  However, it was also Karim's concern for his father and how he would react to the situation of the child's illegitimacy and also how he would react to Rachel and her so called relationship with his brother, such a dilemma for this "buttoned up" sheikh.  His brother had been reckless, owed money to everyone, left, so he thought, Rachael and the baby without any support.  Add to everything, Karim found her to be beautiful and wanted her in his bed.

Secrets like you won't believe, a chain of events from the time they arrived in Alcantar that will change three lives, Karim, Rachel's and of course Ethan's.  Top that off with Suki, Rachel's sister arriving to spill the news she was the baby's mother and Karim's father adding serious stress to all of their lives.  All if it only made this wonderful romance more than interesting, thanks to Ms. Marton.

Sandra Marton discusses Sheikh Without A Heart over at I(Heart)Presents.

Back of the Book

Dressed only in a skimpy sequin-studded bikini is not the way Rachel Donnelly wants to meet Sheikh Karim al Safir. Especially when he is so devastatingly handsome—and fully clothed!

Karim is horrified that this is the mother of his newly discovered nephew. His raging pulse at the sight of Rachel's barely dressed body belies his reputation as the sheikh with no heart, but he'll live up to it to ensure that the heir to the throne is raised in Alcantar!

Tempted By Her Innocent Kiss

This was probably my favorite in Maya Banks series of four college friends who were in business together.  Because Devon Carter wouldn't know what hit him until he faced the possibility of loosing his wife and his marriage of convenience as arranged by his father-in law in order to gain a multi-millionaire hotel corporation and insuring his future and that of he and his friends corporation.

Ashley Copeland didn't know she was part of the "deal" her father and Devon had arranged with Copeland Hotels and her father.  She was their only daughter and her father wanted to see her settled.  This agreement between the two men meant that Ashley was never to find out about "the deal".  She was adored by her family, her five best friends and she worked extremely hard at a neighborhood animal shelter.  But most of all she loved Devon Carter with her heart and soul.

Devon put a "rush" on their marriage.  He had Ashley move in with him, in many ways friend to change her from the animated woman she was, masking her feel inferior to the point she began having migraines and her behaviour concerned her friends.  An then her world came apart on their wedding night when she dropped her new husband's computer and saw an email from Devon and her father outlining "the deal" they had made which destroyed Ashley!  Add to the mix upon moving home, she found out she was pregnant.  What a horrible mess and I could only hope the light bulb would go on for Devon to realize how precious Ashley was just being herself.  I also wondered like his friends, Cam, Rafael and Ryan would he "Go Big" and win her love and forgiveness?

Tempted by Her Innocent Kiss was an amazing love story thanks to the talented Maya Banks.  I also suggest you read "The 30th Anniversary Bonus Story by Brenda Jackson.  A lovely "forgiveness" romance, Never Too Late.

Back of the Book

Devon Carter was her first; now newly wed Ashley wants their passion to last. But her dreams of true love are crushed by the discovery that their marriage is another of Daddy's business deals. Her strategy: act the part of perfect wife and make Devon love her.

But Devon misses the bubbly, no-holds-barred woman his wife used to be. Who is this Ashley with the steely demeanor of a society wife? And will he find a way to rekindle the fire in her eyes…especially now that she's pregnant?

Undone by Her Tender Touch - Maya Banks

I immediately fell in love with Pippa Laingley as she was not only beautiful but she had spunk and fire.  She met Cameron Hollingsworth at her friend Ashley's wedding, was attracted to him and now she was faced once again meeting him at a party she was catering at her friend  Ashley's home.

Cam was more than attracted to Pippa.  However, he was definitely not into relationships nor commitment as he lost both is wife and infant son in an accident years earlier.  However, he was definitely going to get Pippa into his bed if only for one night!

Life has a way of putting up obstacles in one's life and getting Pippa pregnant after only spending the evening with her at his mansion was at the top of the list.  Cam just about lost it when he heard the news but definitely didn't want marriage nor a child.......it hurt too much.  However, he did help to set Ashley up in business, but he abruptly left her doctors appointment and it changed everything, even their "delicate" friendship.

They both struggled throughout their journey in truly getting to know each other and then Pippa saw him with his closest friend Devon when their daughter was born and the way he held her and her heart broke into pieces because he was somewhat denying his own son.  A fire at Ashley's apartment is actually what changed him but he had hurt her so much.  The only way to seek forgiveness from Pippa was to "Go Big" as his friend Rafael told him and hopefully he would win her back?

A beautifully written romance by Maya Banks one that tugged at my heart.  Why?  Because in the end, Cameron had to trust his feelings, even though it meant taking the risk to love Pippa and their unborn son.  Trusting that the same thing that happened in the past would happen to the two people he realized he loved.

Back of the Book

Just one night? Yeah, right. Pippa Laingley should have known better. When an unplanned evening of passion with Cameron Hollingsworth results in unplanned pregnancy, she's at a crossroads. She knew going in that the enigmatic entrepreneur had built a fortress around his feelings. What she's just discovered is that he's loved and lost before—wife and child. Tragically.

Now Cam stands to lose it all again. If he lets Pippa get too close. If he pushes her away with loveless arrangements of financial support. Either way, he's doomed…unless he can let himself love again.

An Indecent Proposition Carol Marinelli

Zander Karagas had such a different life than his twin Nico Eliades (A Shameful Consequence ( The Secrets Xanos).  Now Nico had learned about his adoption and the family secrets, he was happily married, had a child and wanted some property that Zander owned.  Zander also suffered at the hand of his father, the twin that was left behind.  He had fought for everything he had and had grown up on the streets, unlike his twin who had grown up with wealthy parents.

A Shameful Consequence – Carol Marinelli (The Secrets Xanos)

What a fabulous two book series (The Secrets Xanos)  They are Nico Eliades in this book and then the next book in this duo is Zander Kargas story, Nico's half brother.  The two "brothersare alike in charisma and power; separated at birth and seeking revenge"

Nico wanted answers and was determined to get them and was also determined to seek answers concerning his parentage.  Always he felt something was missing in his life.  He had business in Athens and so he went to visit his parents.  However, they were at a wedding of his father's business rival.  Nico decided to see what the wedding was about and saw the most stunning bride he'd ever seen.  Eyes locked studying each other, the bride seemed stressed and pale.   However to his surprise, Connie, the bride ended up at his hotel, upset because her new groom's secret was revealed.......he was gay.

Both Nico and Connie had issues with their parents.  Connie's father was an attorney on the island and he actually knew when he arranged his daughter's wedding, that her future husband had a secret life.  As for Nico's, he thought his parents to be snobs.  He actually didn't like them at all.  And while he was on the island of Xanos, he felt strange things.  Just hearing a crying baby or seeing a prostitute made him physically ill and he wondered why?

During the first chapter, it was revealed that Nico was a twin, separated at birth.  His mother took him away from her abusive husband and in the end, she sold her son.  The other twin was left with his father.  All I could think of was talk about explosive ending chapters when his secrets.  I also wondered what would happen to Connie because in the end, Nico proposed that they spend the night together, only one night however so that she would have her "wedding night".  Crazy?  No, it just added more to the passion of this incredible love story.  Because Nico firmly did not believe in love; in love you lost so his heart remained closed.  Holding my breath, I wondered it it only could get more complicated.  The answer is yes and you won't believe how much more.

So many secrets, chain events which spiraled out of control, you won't want to miss this amazing love story and see how Connie and Nico get their happy ending.  Plus the fact that the fabulous Carol Marinelli, in the ending chapters makes you not want to wait for Zander's story and how the two brother's go from feuding to acceptance of each other.

Interview with the Daredevil - Nicola Marsh

Nicola Marsh is a master story teller.  Interview With the Daredevil from the very beginning stole my breath away.  The chemistry between Ava Beckett, the Prime Minister’s daughter and thrill seeker Roman Gianakis was so hot and amazing.
Ava had been the perfect political daughter and wife.  However, not anymore because she walked away from her father and husband because she was tired of being politically correct.  Now she was in Melbourne, staying at the elegant Crown Metropol with a fabulous pool to herself or so she thought until she collided with the handsome and sexy daredevil, Roman.
What can I say about Roman Gianakis?  He was a magnificent sport legend, travelled the world.  When he collided with Ava in the pool, both of their lives would change.  With a bump on her head, a sexy kiss which was so out of character for Ava, the world as she knew it, would change.  Roman had a scheduled meeting with a family friend, who happened to be a publisher.  Ava had shared with him she wanted to be a writer.  She was given that opportunity in the form of interviewing Roman and if things panned out, she would have a new career.
To say things were calm between them would be a lie.  Their passion leaped off of the pages.  This sensual couple both had their own secrets.  Roman was concerned his mother and his upbringing might be published.  Definitely things he definitely didn’t want to share with anyone.  Ava’s secrets also concerned her past and her high profile as the Prime Minister’s daughter and her failed marriage.
All I can say is this high profiled couple and their relationship was amazing to read and such an enjoyable romance, one I will long remember.  If you love chemistry, hot romance, then Interview With The Daredevil is one for you!
 Back of the Book
After spending the past few years as the perfect political wife, Ava's finally single and free to live her life as she chooses—away from the paparazzi. She starts her new life as a freelance writer with a massive scoop: an interview with extreme sports legend—and dreamboat!—Roman Gianakis…

The immediate chemistry is all-consuming, but Roman lives his life firmly in the public eye. To match him, she'll have to step up next to him.

The Ex Who Hired Her - Kate Hardy

They were in university when they fell in love.  However, lack of communication, the loss of a baby, cost them both.  Now years later Jordan Smith and Xandra Bennett with two failed marriages meet up again because Xandra is interviewing for marketing position at Jordan's department store.

Kate Hardy never disappoints and this particular reunion romance was spectacular.  Jordan and Alexandra Porter as he once knew her were way too young when they fell in love, but yet they both loved each other.  What Jordan never knew was that Alexandra had become pregnant with his baby and lost it.  Jordan came from money and Alexandra never felt she would fit in.  All she wanted in life was to be loved and in the end, she married for it, only to have a controlling husband.  Jordan also married for all of the wrong reasons.  He married a childhood friend and his marriage also ended because he was a workaholic.  Now years later, they are both reunited because Alexandra is interviewing for a position at Field's Department store, Jordan's family owned business.

Reunion romances always make me think how I would react seeing an ex, especially one I had fallen in love with.  It wouldn't be a pretty sight, that's for sure.  However, Jordan and Alexandra were very professional, aloof, in fact.  In the end, Jordan gave her the job.  All of Alexandra's co-workers adored her.  Like Jordan, she worked long hours and was a workaholic.  Seeing each other on a daily basis drove them both crazy because the chemistry was still there for both of them.  In the end, when avoidance didn't work, they ended up taking meals together, talking business and yes you guessed it, there was no denying the chemistry between them.
The Ex Who Hired her was a brilliant romance.  Mixing the past with the present, learning about each other, reconciling their past mistakes, moving forward.  It was simply plain wonderful.  Plus who could resist a trip to Venice, one of the most romantic cities in the world?  Conflict, bitterness, miscommunication didn't hurt this love story; it only made it more spectacular, thanks to Kate Hardy.  The Ex Who Hired Her is definitely a "keeper"!

Back Blurb:

Memo to self: when you work with your ex, keep all thoughts strictly business!

No matter how wickedly kissable those luscious lips, or how sinfully seductive those endless legs, tycoon Jordan Smith wants nothing to do with his ex-lover Alexandra Bennett.

Only Alex is his new hotshot employee! Their sizzling chemistry can't be denied, and working late nights soon drives them both crazy with need….

It's becoming impossible to resist—but with so much painful history between them, can breaking up ever lead to making up…for good?

Behind the Book from the author:
I love reunion stories. And I loved writing this one - about two people who were torn apart because what happened to them was just too much for them to cope with. (Um, I'd better warn you now; you will need tissues, because I made myself cry when I was writing this.)
Ten years later, they meet again - completely unexpectedly - and knock each other for six. Except it takes them a while to admit it to themselves, let alone to each other!
Jordan does something amazingly romantic when he whisks Alexandra off to a place she's always wanted to see for the day (and night). Also very decadent, too, because it's Venice! (My working title for the book was "One Night in Venice".)
I have to admit that some of this comes from my research trip to Venice. I danced through St Mark's Square with my husband to that exact same piece of music. And we went on a gondola and it was really, really romantic (who says you can't be romantic when you have kids with you? Sure you can). The bits that Alex notices about Venice - yup. My fave bits, too. And no, our room didn't have a balcony!! (Though the breakfast terrace of our hotel was right on the Grand Canal and had the best view. I just transposed it to a roof terrace for the book.
The book is dedicated to my friend Lizzie Lamb and her parrot Jasper (whom I borrowed for the book - he did have a bigger part originally but my ed spotted him and he suffered the same fate as the reindeer) (but not as bad as the fate of the elephants: the very first words of the revision letter were "lose the elephants"!)

Merry Christmas, Baby (Vicki Lewis Thompson, Jennifer LaBrecque, Rhonda Nelson)

I purchased this book because I adored Vicki Lewis Thompson Sons of Chance series.  However, what I didn’t count on was also adoring the other two authors,  Jennifer LaBrecque and Rhonda Nelson’s books as well.  In each novella, all couples fell in love within a couple of days.  Each author’s contribution was incredible.
VLT’s book was It’s Christmas, Cowboy and features one of the handsome cowboys from the Last Chance Ranch, Tucker Ramsey.  Tucker’s chasing a runaway horse on Christmas Eve and whose cabin should he come upon but an old friend from high school, Lacey Evans who he hadn’t seen in years.  Tucker was considered a “bad boy” back then and stole a kiss one night at a dance.  A kiss neither one of them had forgotten.
Lacey was nursing wounds from a broken up relationship.  As for Tucker, he just wanted to prove himself to the Chance Brother’s.  Neither one of them were too keen on Christmas but what transpired over Christmas Eve, will steal your breath away thanks to the marvelous Vicki Lewis Thompson.  The Last Chance series is one you won’t want to miss, I promise.
Jennifer LaBrecque was a new author for me to read and I loved her Northern Fantasy (Alaskan Heat Holiday Novella).  Two buddies heading for Alaska as one will be the groom and the other in the wedding party.  Jared Martin and Nick had been good friends forever.  Nick was a stockbroker in New York and looking forward to seeing and spending time in the small town of Good Riddance, Alaska.  What he also didn’t expect was to meet was a lovely aspiring actress, who wanted a career in New York by the name of Teddy Monroe.
Teddy and Jared ended more than acquaintances; they ended up both being in the wedding party and “lusted” after each other.  They more than lusted, they fell in love and things became complicated for them both.
It was such a fun book, with great secondary characters and an interesting town in Alaska celebrating the Christmas Holidays thanks to Jennifer LaBrecque.  I’ll continue to look for Jennifer’s books and I certainly enjoyed this one.
Rhonda Nelson was also a new author for me and one from now on I’ll continue to look for her books.  Her contribution was He’ll be Home for Christmas and about a military man coming home to Florida to surprise he parents.  Of course they are on a cruise but there’s one hot interior designer naked in his parent’s hot tub.
Silas Davenport and Delphie Moreau’s romance got off to an interesting start.  From the beginning things sizzled between them from the red lacey underwear, to her lovely beauty, to prepared home cooked meals.
Silas was an honorable man and one hot soldier.  As for Delphie she was feeling “blue” thanks to her sister’s Christmas wedding with no date and relatives who would notice.  Yes, you guessed correctly, she cooks him a home cooked meal and things heat up in her kitchen and home and of course, Silas becomes her date for the wedding.
Like the other author’s holiday romances, Rhonda did an incredible job and she is also one I look forward to reading again.

A Forbidden Affair (The Master Vintners series) Yvonne Lindsay

I have so enjoyed Yvonne Lindsay’s The Master Vintner’s series.  It’s not only about “tangled vines, it’s also about tangled lives and a ton of secrets.
In the Wayward Son we learned that Charles Wilson and his wife split up in a “brutal” divorce with Charles keeping his daughter Nicole and his ex-wife took their son to New Zealand because he believed she had an affair with his business partner.  He also sent his daughter’s best friend to find his long lost son.
In a Forbidden Affair, this is Nichole Wilson’s story and one I was so looking forward to because, Charles Wilson gave his business to his son hurting his daughter who had given her life to her company.  We also learned in the Wayward Son that Charles Wilson’s business partner died a broken man, accused falsely.  Now the man and rival of Wilson Wines is a Nate Jackson and actually the son of Charles old business partner.
All I could think of was Nicole Wilson was so upset, would she end up Nate Jackson and working at Jackson Importers, working against her brother and father?  Go got it!  Right!  Because Nicole Wilson decided to have a night out on the town, ended hooking up with Nate, not knowing who he was, ended up at his home and then shortly thereafter, accepting a position at Jackson Importers.
Let the games begin, let feathers fly, let the families try to extract revenge as only the talented Ms.  Lindsay, pen.  I loved all of the passion, the family drama and how Nicole and Nate got their HEA.
Back of the Book
